For the first time in history, humanity is making an honest effort to get its act together, and world peace seems within our grasp. So here's my plot for a different kind of alien invasion story. Yeah, I hate how these aliens manage to develop technology capable of interstellar travel but still always end up getting their asses handed to them by backwater yokels who don't even have fusion reactors or antimatter bombs.
